We're back!

& hating the cold.

We're back & I was very disappointed with the computer services I was able to find. I couldn't find anyone with just a standard Microsoft Picture Manager that could compress my photos to put on the blog, and I had trouble with the disks I saved my photos on & have been receiving cyclical redundancy error messages (whatever the hell that means.)

This is me driving the Mustang! When we got into our van to drive home through the snow & cold, Maurice asked me if I wanted the top up or down...sigh.

Hello from Haiku!

There once was a man from Nantucket...no, that's a Limerick, not a Haiku!

Hi! We had a big day today! We drove the Road to Hana which is all switchbacks & hairpin curves on the narrowest road, allbeit paved.
Yesterday, we spent the day at Big & Little Beaches - Big is a nice white beach & Little is a Nude Beach!! Kihei_041.jpg
We then drove to Lahaina to meet Auntie Phyllis, Uncle George, Jan, Roddy, Karen & Madisyn for a Luau! It was great fun!Kihei_059.jpg
The day before that, we were whale watching, and much to my horror, I think I have lost all the pictures. I went to a Cyber Cafe to burn them to a disk & it did not work, but I didn't reallize that until today. I am going to check nback to make sure they are not on their computer, but I'm just sick about it.
Today, I am i the home of my Bed & Breakfast host, Margarite & her computer is exactly like mine, so I am having no problems.
BUt it is getting late, so I will bid you all goodnight!

Fourth Day!

It's seems like we've been here forever!

We are having so much fun! We went snorkelling yesterday & got very sun burned! It was incredible though! We saw all sorts of fish & whales, dolphins & even a sea turtle!!! I am having trouble accessing a good enough computer to wend you any decent pictures though - We'll show you when we get home!!

First Day under our belt...

It's absolutely Paradise!

I am borrowing a computer from Rod & Karen's neighbor (thanks Bob & Sherry!) , so I don't have any time to give you much detail.
We're having a blast. We head to Kihei tomorrow & I'll try & find a computer there!

Only -11 Celcius here today

It's 25 in Maui!

overcast -11 °C

Well, I just finished deleting the last update accidently, so this one won't be nearly as entertaining.
I wanted to mention that I hoped it was cold while we were gone - sorry.
I'm going to repack my suitcase, so I don't over or underpack. It's been packed for 6 weeks & sitting on the floor by my dresser, so gawd knows what I put in it then. Probably 14 pair of shorts & no underwear!
I just checked out Library internet service in Maui & I will have to buy a 3 month Hawaiian Library card for $10 to access their computers, but they don't know if I will be able to upload my pictures from my camera onto them, so we'll see.
I'm completely giddy about the trip & Maurice is his own cool, collected self. Annoying, at best.
Update from the ongoing saga of passports: we received his first December application back in the mail & guess what? There were no photos included in the application & so they returned it unprocessed!
I have absolutely no idea where those pictures could have gone, as Maurice had John sign them with all the rest of the stuff. But thank god we didn't wait for that application to come back! I picked up his passport the beginning of this week, so we're ready. If someone at the airport doesn't utilize it - nay, scructinize it - I will scream.
